New Matrice 600 Pro (M600 Pro) drone from DJI follows the highest professional standard of M600 predecessor while introducing enhanced flight characteristics and payload options. New highly-practical modular design drastically facilitates deployment of the drone. DJI has ensured compatibility and easy integration of best in class Zenmuse gimbals and cameras.

KEY FEATURES

  • Emploies a number of brand new DJI technologies
  • A3 Pro flight controller enables high precision and stable drone’s control
  • Lightbridge 2 HD transmission system gives you an opportunity to organize high-definition broadcasting on a professional level
  • Unique Intelligent Batteries and Battery Management system ensures constant monitoring of the batteries state in flight as well as a rapid simultaneous charging of all six batteries on the ground

The A3 Pro Flight Controller has triple modular redundancy and diagnostic algorithms that compare sensor data from three sets of GNSS units, with additional analytical redundancies for a total of six. A new dampening system for the A3’s modules enable precise control of multi-rotor aircraft, providing accurate data for stable flight performance. Self-adaptive systems will automatically adjust flight parameters based on different payloads. Compatibility with D-RTK GNSS means that the A3 Pro can withstand magnetic interference, providing centimeter-level accuracy, suitable for various industrial applications.

The M600 Pro is simple and easy to set up, ready to fly in a matter of minutes. Its airframe has been optimized for easier transportation with a quick-release landing gear design and folding frame arms. Under the new upper cover, the positions of GNSS modules and sensors have been revamped and a new dampening system for the IMU units increases reliability during flight. The M600 Pro also comes with a durable, customizable case that absorbs impact from shakes or falls, providing all-round protection when carried or transported.

The M600 Pro charger has six charging hubs, enabling it to charge six Intelligent Batteries simultaneously. All six batteries can be fully charged in a short amount of time*, for quick and efficient preparation.

*92 minutes for TB47S and 110 minutes for TB48S.

Dustproof propulsion systems simplify maintenance and active cooling motors ensure that operation is reliable for extended periods of time. The M600 Pro is natively compatible with several Zenmuse cameras and gimbals. With a maximum payload of 6kg, it effortlessly supports the Ronin-MX gimbal, DJI Focus and a range of cameras from Micro Four Thirds systems to the RED EPIC.

The M600 Pro has an extended flight time and a 5km* long-range transmission. A comprehensive battery management system means that if any of its six Intelligent Batteries are turned on or off, the rest will follow suit. The battery management system monitors every battery during flight, ensuring safe landing in the event of single battery failure. Compared to traditional non-intelligent batteries, the M600 Pro’s battery management system simplifies maintenance while enhancing security.

TRANSMISSION RANGE

*Maximum range tested in unobstructed areas free of interference and may vary depending on local regulations.

DJI Lightbridge 2 has been designed to meet all the requirements of professional broadcasting, offering high frame rates and HD live streaming. USB, mini-HDMI, 3G-SDI ports and Lightbridge 2 Ground Unit all support video output at up to 1080p/60fps. Dynamic, self-adaptive wireless data links enable long-range transmission with ultra-low latency, supporting a broadcast standard output of 720p/59.94fps and 1080i/50fps, enabling even more creative opportunities for aerial imaging.

The M600 Pro is fully compatible with the DJI Onboard SDK and Mobile SDK to meet the requirements of those building software for various industrial applications. It has four — dual parallel — CAN ports and one API port for connecting DJI devices, including the D-RTK GNSS units or third party components of your choice.

Using dual antennas, the D-RTK GNSS system is a significant breakthrough for high-precision industrial applications. It is able to withstand strong magnetic interference and provides centimeter-level accuracy in environments with metal structures.

The M600 Pro supports the DJI GO app and DJI Assistant 2. Get a live HD view, battery status, redundancy status, transmission strength and much more, straight from the DJI GO app. DJI GO is also the control center for the camera, giving access to shutter speed, ISO, photo or video capture, on any Zenmuse series camera and remote focus and aperture control on the Zenmuse X5 and X5R cameras. DJI Assistant 2 supports firmware updates and Ground Station, and comes with a built-in flight simulator.

Review form
1. Does the M600 Pro have the same firmware as the M600?
No. When connecting to DJI Assistant 2, the aircraft will recognize the correct firmware and update it accordingly.
2. Are the M600 Pro’s vibration damping balls for redundant IMUs compatible with the M600 or S1000+?
They can be used on the M600 but not the S1000+. If redundant IMUs on the M600 use vibration damping balls, then vibration damping balls should also be added to the A3 Flight Controller, ensuring performance is not compromised.
3. Compared with the M600, how has the M600 Pro been improved in terms of performance?
The M600 Pro is equipped with a new 2170R propeller that increases overall efficiency and stability during flight. It is also equipped with the A3 Pro flight controller, enhancing precision control while improving overall safety. Vibration damping balls have been added to the A3 flight controller’s redundant IMUs, absorbing more shake and reducing more noise.
4. Can the M600 fit inside the M600 Pro’s new EPP foam case?
No. When folded,The M600 Pro is smaller in size than the M600.
5. Do the M600 Pro and the M600 have the same propulsion system?
Yes.
6. Does the M600 Pro also support D-RTK?
Yes.
7. When flying, DJI GO will sometimes state ‘IMU Data Error’. What exactly does this mean?
DJI GO will state ‘IMU data error’ when barometers are normal but are at risk of being disturbed by airflow (likely when the aircraft is maneuvering or braking at speed). The ‘IMU data error’ warning will stop when the risk of airflow disturbance lowers.
8. Does the M600 Pro use the same controllers and batteries as the M600?
Yes, they both use the same controllers and batteries.
9. Why won’t the landing gear retract or extend when I test it on the ground?
Please connect the M600 Pro to DJI GO and choose ‘unlock landing gear’ to resolve the issue.
10. Does the M600 Pro support GEO?
No.
11. Does the M600 Pro have a dedicated battery heater?
No. However, the M600 Pro’s battery is compatible with the Inspire 1’s battery heater and insulation sticker, which is designed to keep the battery within the temperature range.
